Vista experience on a T60
I made my soft work but other then that I will be the last one on Earth installing Vista. IMHO large software vendors lately serving nobody but themselves. Sorry to hear that. Works great for me and the developers I work with and the people I know that run it. To each their own I guess.

While I agree with all your comments, and I am happy with Vista as well. I do have a problem with the search feature. No matter what I try, if I am looking for all .pas files containing a string, say 'Arial'. It refuses to find all my files. It finds some, but not all. Very strange. Do you have that folder indexed?

I was in West Marine looking at the Vista, and the sdalesman said I needed a CD Rom from Garmin but had to "Unlock" data on it for about a hundred bucks a region. Whats up with that? nVidia seems to have some _really_ bad driver issues. I kinda like it, too. I like DWM for painting Apps more efficiently, Aero for making the UI a bit more appealing, the search bar every where, etc. But I won't push to get a Vista at work until the 2nd SP and at home I am seriously considering to buy a Mac.

Files on drives you have flagged for System Restore get individually backed up. I love the history in Delphi 2006. Sometimes I wish I had that in other apps. Now I do. Just a joke, Its sounds like: A system with this restore capability is a system designed to brake. BTW, I never needed to restore my own systems.
